Killadoon Milk, Ireland’s Best Start-Up winner at the 2024 Blas na hÉireann Awards, is delighted to announce support for the Children’s Health Foundation this Christmas.

On Friday, 20 December, we will donate 100% of sales of our award-winning whole milk and flavoured milk to Crumlin Children's Hospital through the Chilren's Health Foundation.

Killadoon Milk owes its superior taste and creamy texture to its Jersey-cross herd, renowned for producing rich, high-quality milk. Our single-source dairy ensures that every drop comes exclusively from Killadoon’s herd, guaranteeing traceability, integrity, and unmatched freshness. The award-winning whole milk, which took home gold at this year’s Blas na hÉireann, has been celebrated for the “creamy farmhouse flavour” that sets it apart. Pasteurised but non-homogenised, Killadoon Milk retains its natural texture and rich flavour, making it a wholesome, nutrient-packed choice for health-conscious families and individuals alike.

At the heart of Killadoon Milk’s passion for sustainability are its innovative vending machines, which redefine how milk is delivered to consumers. Killadoon Milk has established a network of these eco-friendly machines in retail stores which champion a reusable glass bottle system to eliminate single-use plastic and packaging waste.

Customers simply purchase a reusable glass bottle from the bottle vending machine at a participating store (or bring their own reusable bottle), then fill it directly from the adjacent Killadoon Milk vending machine. This farm-to-vending model allows Killadoon Milk to travel within hours of milking straight from the farm to retail stores with minimal processing and transport, delivering unparalleled freshness.

Alongside our award-winning whole milk, the Killadoon Milk vending machines offer a range of 4 flavoured milks, ensuring a delicious option for every family member to enjoy.  Whole milk, strawberry, chocolate, banana, and salted caramel are available at vending machines located in Fallon & Byrne, Avoca Dunboyne, SuperValu Rathgar, SuperValu Lucan and Rye River Café, Kilcock, Co Kildare.

“At Killadoon Milk, we are committed to making a positive difference, both through sustainable farming and by giving back to the community that supports us,” said Vanessa Donovan, co-founder of Killadoon Milk.  “This Christmas, we’re proud to extend that commitment by donating 100% of all sales from our vending machines on Friday, 20 December, to the Children’s Health Foundation. It’s an honour to support such an important cause in any small way we can while continuing to deliver fresh, traceable, high-quality milk and reduce environmental impact through our reusable glass bottle initiative.”

Customers who wish to contribute further to the Children’s Health Foundation can easily do so by using the QR code on the Killadoon Milk vending machines and the donation link is also available on our website and Instagram account, allowing for additional donations to be made directly to the charity.
